When you think of Christmas what is it that you think of first? Some people imagine snow, others imagine the iconic Christmas tree. While it’s impossible to imagine Christmas without the lights and the red, green, and white. I believe that Christmas means more than what is visually appealing. For example being with loved ones. Or even being with someone new but gives some sort of meaning to your life. There isn’t a definitive meaning to Christmas and whoever says there is, is probably just telling you what they are used to. People with lots of money might be used to expensive gifts and that is what makes Christmas memorable. Whilst someone else might invite their whole extended family over and that is what makes Christmas the best. But neither nor is actually the true meaning of Christmas. If decorating a tree and putting up lights is what makes Christmas so memorable then by all means, good for you. All I am saying is that whatever makes you happy and whatever gives meaning to the holidays is what you should consider Christmas. Don’t let others change your mind, if you love the gifts and it's something that you will not stop receiving then, amazing. No matter what, just remember that holidays are meant to be a time of festivity and not sadness or sorrow. This also goes for any other holiday, even those that don’t celebrate Christmas. There might be a deeper meaning to your holiday that I may not understand but it is safe to say that no matter what it is being celebrated there is always some sort of meaning to why it’s so memorable and that, is beautiful.
